Source Comments Reports are narrative detailing as much as possible the background and reputation of individual or a company and including the following:
- Efforts to obtain and supply a minimum of four and up to five sources comments on a subject company or individual for reputational and integrity due diligence check.
- The report would include making efforts to identify and discreetly contact sources who would be questioned about a company for instance and up to two associated individuals named by the client when placing the enquiry.
- Questions put forward to sources to include but not limited to the following:
1. Confirm Knowledge of the subject.
2. Whether the subjects have been associated with serious "red flag" issues.
3. Whether the subjects are known to have political connections/exposure.
4. Whether the subjects have been associated with any corrupt business practices.
5. Source of wealth of the individuals.
6. Whether the subjects have links to organised crime.
7. Suggestions of involvement in money laundering.
8. Whether the subjects are known to be dealing with sanctioned states.
9. Whether the subjects are socially and environmentally accountable (where applicable).
- Sources to approach will include for example former employees, business associates, industry peers, journalists and regulators amongst others.
- Approaches will be made discreetly.
- Comments obtained would be included in Cedar Rose report as narrative text.
- Delivery of report will be within 10 working days excluding the date of order receipt.
- Reports will be in English language.
Note: Quoted charge would still apply if Cedar Rose efforts were not fruitful in obtaining up to five sources comments, though every effort will be made to locate and interview up to five referees. Approached sources names and particulars that had knowledge of the subjects and were interviewed would be provided in our report if permissible; otherwise a description of post would be provided. We would also include descriptive particulars of those who were approached and did not have knowledge of the subject.
